It isn't very clear to me. I hear the same stories over and over. I have attended three Old Testament groups, and I still do not understand all the names, places, etc. I have read Matthew, Mark, Luke, etc.I understand that Jesus loves me, and I am fully blessed and favored. Kay Bartlett
Hey Bible Readers!
Y'all mean to tell me I've gone my whole life thinking if the timing worked out there was going to be a rapture and I would just disappear off the face of the earth like Enoch. Today I read the last chapters of the Bible thinking wow... no peaceful assent or teleportation into Heaven like I envisioned, but I might get beheaded! So glad I completed the Bible Recap, it has really shed a lot of light on a TON of misconceptions and misinformation I had about what is scripture and what is tradition. Looking forward to restarting in 2025 and getting a crew together this round!
It is not easy to be a Christian among people who are not Christian. We are called to tell others about God and about Jesus and His sacrifice for our sins. This is very difficult when we are met with unbelievers whose hearts are hard and they react with anger. Even if they react with argument or insult, it is very challenging to talk about God and what He has done for me and what He wants to do for them who don't believe. God, you create each of us with unique personalities and strengths so that we can share Your story and potential salvation with those we love. Ezekiel 3:11 NIV "Go now to your people in exile and speak to them. Say to them, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says,’ whether they listen or fail to listen.” ' God had to harden Ezekiels forehead to prepare him for talking to the hard headed Israelites. God, give me thick skin for the insults that people I love give when I talk about God and His LOVE. It is hard, but we are told to share the Good New of Jesus even if we are rebuked. Lord, Your spirit is in me. Guide us, your believing children to carry out You Will for our lives. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

““Now lie on your left side and place the sins of Israel on yourself. You are to bear their sins for the number of days you lie there on your side.” Ezekiel 4:4 NLT This verse stood out to me today as my God shot because it serves as a snapshot of the incoming Messiah Jesus and his ultimate sacrifice. This verse also puts into perspective how amazing Christ sacrifice for us was, he was humiliated, tortured, and mocked, and yet he still let himself die and be sacrificed for our sins. Our God and our Messiah is so good. Glory be to God and praise be to Jesus.
God chastens those whom He loves. I'm sooo glad my God loves me , cause in the end ALL things work together for my good!!☝🏽🙏🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
Psalms 73:25-26 New International Version (NIV) Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
In Ezekiel chapter 3, God had Ezekiel eat the scroll and Ezekiel said it tasted as sweet as honey (Ez 3:3). God's Word is sweet.
This is absolutely amazing I just love the way you explain things. I had the same God shot help our unbelief. I want to be one with God, I need more faith. Thank you TLC he is where the joy is. 🙌🏽
Each day we start our Recapping with “Let me see something new about You I haven’t seen before.” Today, this is the first time we see “Son of Man,” as well as the Glory of God depicted as the Cherubim Throne with God Almighty and His Spirit Who speaks and commissions. The only other place we see “Son of Man” in the OT is Daniel 8:7, and then, of course, we see Jesus call Himself the Son of Man: One Who is filled with the Spirit to deliver the Lord God’s message to hard-hearted people. The Son of Man has necessarily seen God’s Glory-with its four faces (reason, courage, strength, and speed), its all-seeing ability and mobility, its flaming presence and multi-colored jewel-like emanation. And what are we supposed to do with this? Well, what are we supposed to do with Niagara Falls, the Grand Canyon, or the Northern Lights? At the least, we are supposed to fall down like Ezekiel, and worship-with a little more insight into Who God is.
God’s love will never leave us no matter how deep we sink. He can pull us out of the deep and change us into a new creation.
As an introvert and a sensitive person I often remind myself that God made me exactly who I am supposed to be. Can you imagine if he only made extroverted insensitive people! What a loud uncaring world we would live in!! God needs listeners and certainly people sensitive to the needs of those around us.
I’m not sure the people at Ezekiel Bread want us to know this whole story. 🤣

Yesss Everyday we must die to the flesh and walk by the spirit. Praying and asking God to fill us daily with the fire of the Holy Spirit. Thank you God🙏🏻🙌🏼 thank you Jesus❤️🔥🔥🙏🏻✝️🛐🕊️🩸
I see God's loving patience. He knew His people would continue in sin, He knew they had to endure the consequences and He knew they would regret their circumstance. He also knew that it would take them a while to process their emotions and come to their senses realizing that it's HIM they ought to long for instead of the fleeting benefits of their sin. Thank You for Your patience with us, Lord. Thank You for preserving us for Yourself even I the midst of trials. We love You for loving us so. Amen
I love the God Shot she mentioned and verse 2:19. I love how He wants to hear the aches and pains of our hearts and souls, and He listens. Praise God. He engages with the good, the bad, and the ugly in our hearts. Man, I have a lot of ugly in there sometimes!

Powerful Verses Worth Meditating On: Lamentations 3:22-27 NKJV [22] Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. [23] They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. [24] “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “Therefore I hope in Him!” [25] The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, To the soul who seeks Him. [26] It is good that one should hope and wait quietly For the salvation of the Lord. [27] It is good for a man to bear The yoke in his youth.
God made us and then died on the cross to save us. That is my God shot today.
This was a hard read today but I learned that there is a lesson in everything. Nothing that happens is wasted by God. Thanks for sharing about your sister Tara Leigh. My condolences.
Day 238 Lamentations 3-5 Today we finished our 29th book of Bible. Chapter 3 is about God’s faithfulness amongst all the evil. Remember God used these things as discipline and response to the sins of the people. Vs 22-24 the steadfast love of the Lord never ceases. His mercies never come to an end. They are new every morning. Great is Your faithfulness. The Lord is my portion says my soul. Therefore I will hope in Him. Vs 25-27 The Lord is good to those who wait for Him. The soul that waits for Him. It is good for the soul to wait for the salvation of the Lord. The challenges are beneficial to us. Knowledge of God is formed in these times. Vs 39 any punishment we receive for our sins is justified. Why should a man complain about the punishment of his sins? Vs 40 Calls them to examine their ways, confess and repent to God. God draws near when they repent. Vs 57 God draws near when the repent and says do not fear. God is always telling His people not to be afraid. He is near. God’s has promised to take vengeance on Judah’s enemies. God’s enemies don’t get the final word. Sin doesn’t get to win. Chapter 4 The 2 year siege and destruction of Jerusalem. The people foolishly look back on what they miss. But during this time they were oppressing the poor, enslaving people, and sacrificing their children to false gods. God is acting more harshly to his own kids then to Sodom. That is because Sodom was destroyed immediately. God was long suffering with His children. His aim is to discipline and restore. He is trying to train them towards obedience and trust. God pours out wrath on the disobedient that don’t know Him. Things are so bad in Jerusalem. There is a famine and it is so severe that there are people that results to cannibalism. Their king has been captured. Their neighbor Edom is rejoicing over their problems. God will punish Edom over the fall of Jerusalem. Chapter 5 A prayer for God’s mercy and restoration. The discipline that God brought yielded repentance. Vs 16-17 the people praise God in the midst of their circumstances. They declare you our Lord reign forever. In 3:32-33 God is complex. Though He caused grief, He will have compassion according to His steadfast love. He does not willingly afflict or grieve the sons of man. He wants to produce obedience. Sometimes this takes discipline. He is full of compassion and steadfast love. Discipline sometimes is the best gift He can give us.

Today's reading was a game changer for me. I've reading for a while just to do a check on my check list, I didn't found any joy in reading, but today I read everything understanding and at the end realizing how God had work through all of my very awful mistakes and sin, and now I know that I've been redeem by his mercy.
Jesus is definitely sufficient, he used things that we feel is unsuitable to perform miracles. He could have taken the disciples apple picking I love it. My God shot was how Jesus Christ was preparing them for his death and wanted them to continue on the mission. He wants us today to follow him and his work. He is where the joy is. Thank you TLC

Aloha, praise the Lord, good afternoon BR family. God will give us a fresh start. He expects us to live right with holiness, love, faithful and mercy. When we meet his requirements (holiness, love, faithful and mercy), he restore our comfort bringing us to a place contenment, satisfaction, and peace. God is good all the time; all the time God is good. He s where the JOY is!!

“Yet I still dare to hope when I remember this: The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning. I say to myself, “The Lord is my inheritance; therefore, I will hope in him!”” Lamentations 3:21-24 NLT This is such a beautiful verse it embodies repentance at the same time glorifying God by exclaiming, the power and love he has and how it inspires hope in the author. He’s where the hope is, and he’s where the joy is.

Hey Bible Readers!
The structure of Lamentations tells us something about how God wants us to understand Him. He wants us to bring our grief and complaints and weariness to Him and think and feel these concepts and emotions carefully; He wants us to bring them to Him “from A to Z,” or from “Aleph to Tav.” And Lam 5:22 doesn’t end on a high note, but with a question: “Are You angry with us still?” But in the center of our experience with Him is Lam 3:22-24, the remembrance and assurance that the Lord is faithful and gives us new mercies every morning. Yes, His faithfulness (in the structure of Lamentations, and in life) is surrounded by tragedy-and in the center of our walk with Him, He wants us to never forget that “Though he brings grief, he also shows compassion because of the greatness of his unfailing love” (Lam 3:32).

The Scripture that stood out to me today was Lamentations 3:21-23 NIV "Yet this I call to mind and therefore I have hope: Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness." Just as the sun rises each morning, we can be assured of God's love and compassion for us even in our sin. God allows punishment and it is meant to draw us back to Him. We need Him, and we need to be reminded of this often. Thank you Lord, your efforts with us are relentless.
